Tenants checklist
Everything you need to know about renting for the first time.
We are digital
We are forward thinking and understand that technology is often a faster and more efficient way of doing things. We therefore carry out our entire lettings process online, forms are filled out electronically, Tenancy Agreements are signed digitally, fees and rents are paid online and we can communicate via email.
(You are still more than welcome to come into the office if you wish.)
Please note: we do not accept cash payments.
Location, Location, Location
When choosing your new home, it is a good idea to look for an area that is not just somewhere you would like to live, but that is convenient for you i.e. close to your place of study or workplace, transport links, local amenities etc. We have area guides to help you with this.
Know Your Budget
How much can you afford on your monthly rent?
It is important to remember that you will also be liable to pay for your own utilities (unless bills are included) i.e. gas & electricity, water, TV licence and council tax.
Furnished or Unfurnished?
Please make sure you check the property description/details to see whether it is Furnished or Unfurnished.
Dates of Availability
When are you looking to move in? Please check the property you are looking at is available for the date you’d like to start your tenancy.
